UnCruise Adventures Introduces Wi-Fi On Board—Without Compromising the Wild Experience

April 08, 2025 --

UnCruise Adventures is bringing connectivity to the wilderness—without losing what makes the award-winning small-ship company so unforgettable. After listening to guest feedback, the company has launched Wi-Fi across much of its fleet, giving travelers the option to check in with family, handle urgent matters, or simply ease their minds while off the grid. But when it’s time to enter national parks and remote wildlife zones, the signal intentionally fades, making space for quiet moments, wild encounters, and true digital detox.

It’s a thoughtful evolution that blends the need to stay in touch with the freedom to truly disconnect. Guests sailing aboard the Wilderness Adventurer, Wilderness Discoverer, Safari Endeavour, Wilderness Legacy, and Safari Quest will now have access to onboard Wi-Fi. The connectivity rollout is also on the horizon for Safari Explorer and Safari Voyager.

“We set out to create a connection that works where it matters most—without taking away from what makes an UnCruise special,” said Solutions Engineer Morris Lowitz and lead on the Wi-Fi rollout. “It took careful planning to bring Wi-Fi to such remote places, but our goal was always clear: give guests the option to connect, while preserving the chance to truly disconnect when it counts.”

Captain Dan Blanchard, Owner and CEO of UnCruise Adventures, emphasized the importance of staying in tune with the evolving expectations of travelers.

“Our guests are adventurers, but they’re also parents, business owners, caretakers, and eager to share their experiences in real time,” said Blanchard. “We heard their call for occasional connection, and we answered with care. At the same time, we’ve safeguarded the core of the UnCruise experience: uninterrupted immersion in nature. By turning off Wi-Fi in protected areas, we ensure that the wilderness remains a place of wonder, not just another place to scroll.”
